Prof. P.Rajeswara Rao was graduated from Andhra University and obtained Masters degree and Ph.D in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Andhra University and later joined as an Asst.Professor in the Dept. of Pharm. Sciences in 1985. He was promoted as Associate Professor in 1994 and Professor in 2002. He had 33 years of teaching and research experience. He supervised 20 doctoral students leading to Ph.D degrees and successfully handled Many major research projects on Herbal Drugs, CVS and on Anaphylactic shock . To his credit he has more than 50 research publications in peer reviewed National (6) and International (44) journals. Prof.P. Rajeswara Rao has also recieved a good number of awards in recognition of his research contribution in the area of Natural Products.

As Co-Principal Investigator:“ Phytochemical, biological screening, conversation and formulation development of potential Medicinal Plants of Ayurvedic, folkfore and tribal in arthritis, liver diseases, hypertension and malaria available in forest area of East Godavari, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam districts”, a DST Project Cost of Project: 26 lakhs Duration: 3 years
